This report provides the first comprehensive assessment of human trafficking in South Africa. This research study was conducted by the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) on behalf of the 'Programme of Assistance to the South African Government to Prevent, React to Human Trafficking and Provide Support to Victims of Crime'. The programme of assistance forms part of South Africa's National Strategy to Combat Human Trafficking through prevention, response and support for victims, known as TSIRELEDZANI.
