Abstract Background Empathy is one of the therapeutic communication techniques used to help the client feel better. However, there are a few studies have investigated level of empathy among enrollers at nursing colleges. The aim was to examine the level of self-reported empathy among nursing interns. Methods The study was a descriptive, cross-sectional in nature. A total of 135 nursing interns fill in the Interpersonal Reactivity Index from August to October 2022. Data was analyzed through the SPSS program. An independent –sample t-test and one way- ANOVA was used to explore differences in the degree of empathy with respect to academic and sociodemographic factors.
