Workshop-oriented programming systems permit the use of CNC machine-tools as required by skilled workmen and their comfortable programming in the workshop area. A part from the further development of this approach it becomes necessary to implement new conceptions of control for the automation of simple conventional machines. Likewise, new configurations have to be worked out for the machine-tool system and its operation by the user, by a combination of functionality of controls and the manual working mode
