In order to process trinitrotoluene (TNT) in a chemical process, the invention proposes to melt the TNT and emulgate the TNT melt in a carrier liquid at a temperature which is at least equal to the melting temperature of TNT, and to feed the resulting emulsion to a chemical process while maintaining a temperature above said melting temperature
