This contribution describes the results of investigations and evaluations carried out on new systems to be developed for the control of train integrity. These systems are to work on the train itself without requiring components of the infrastructure. They maybe allocated to three train types: trains without electrical infrastructure, trains with electrical infrastructure without the use of bus systems and trains with bus systems. For all train types there were several possible suitable system concepts. For the implementation it was proposed to make first of all a workable system for trains without electrical infrastructure by systematically testing all critical functions.
