Fraunhofer-INT is going to equip a transportable container (modified communication shelter) with a detection and identification system for radioactive materials. This electromagneticallyshielded container is of the same type as used by the German army (model FmBII). It can be transported by truck, container ship, air plane or helicopter. Various measurement systems will beintegrated including systems for world wide communication and data transfer. The container is powered by a 25 kVA power generator mounted on a small trailer which will be transported together withthe container.
