Nul doute que cette situation changera lorsque le statut politique de Hong Kong sera modifié en 1997. Cet article retrace l'évolution historique et linguistique de Hong Kong et analyse les facteurs de développement du cantonais dans l'île avant de caractériser dans le détail la situation socio-linguistique de Hong Kong par un examen attentif des données statistiques dont on dispose sur la population de Hong Kong.Bauer Robert S.
