The senegalese System of land tenure is at the centre of a confrontation between two dreams. Senghor's great dream of a complete break with bourgeois ownership in favour of community control of the land is indeed in opposition with the dreams of the inhabitants who believe they are the owners. The state which theoretically controls the land but is in fact clientelist and lacking determination, has not yet been able to impose one dream on the other.Le système foncier sénégalais est l'enjeu d'un affrontement de deux rêves.
