Concept and Development of an On-line Information Repository

The present document provides a thorough survey on the market of information and communication technology in Singapore. In particular, it is intended to stimulate and support collaborations of Singaporean and German enterprises and research facilities. Therefore, an extensive country profile is given, wherein a special emphasis is put on research and development policy in Singapore. Furthermore, the survey presents the relevant government agencies, delivers a short introduction into Singaporean company law and analyses Singapore's role within the Asian markets. In the sequel, more than 100 enterprises, research facilities and other institutions are presented and collaboration possibilities offered where applicable. A special section is dedicated to existing German Singaporean collaborations. Besides the print version of this document, an on-line edition for the world wide web has been developed that allows intuitive navigation through the elaborate information offered. For better oversight, the navigation was separated from the contents and outsourced into a distinct window. The navigation menu is designed that way, that an extension both of the contents as well of the search criteria is possible at any time
