The authors report on a 160 Gbit/s all-optical demultiplexer based on gain-transparent cross-phase modulation in semiconductor-optical amplifiers. The switch comprises a hybridly set up Mach-Zehnder interferometer with switching windows as short as 2.5 ps and an input power dynamic range of 50 dB
