In order to make the use of powder coatings as environmentally friendly as possible, apart from recovery of overspray, efficient application methods are crucial. The amount of wastage can be drastically reduced by optimising the application process. With this in mind, the sequence of processes in the application was studied, and from this, guidance can be given for improving the efficiency of the process.
