Timber surfacing systems for outside use have a relatively limited life, which seldom exceeds five years before requiring renovation. New UV-curing coating systems are presented here, which demonstrate much-improved weathering properties, as compared with existing systems. The new systems are designed to have extended UV- and light-protection as well as high transparency, to emphasise the appearance of the wood
