Usability engineering in Germany: Situation, current practice and networking strategies

This paper addresses the current situation of usability professionals in Germany. The results of two telephone interview studies give a first impression of the common usability practice in German web projects. Starting from these results, we present possible, measures, and current initiatives aiming at increasing the awareness for the significance of usability in industry and public.
