The process fundamentals and granulate characteristics are outlined. Spray-freeze granulation of nanoscale ceramic powders represents a combination of extremely rapid freeze of powder suspension droplets followed by sublimation drying. Due to the existing capillary action solid spheroidal granulates are obtained with open porosity, limited inherent stability, but good flowability
