Human models are applied in engineering for evaluating products and workplaces. Normally they are presented to the user on a VDU and are operated by keyboards and a mouse. The evaluation procedures are not standardised. This leads to deficiencies concerning the required effort, efficiency, and quality of the results. Using the example of the development of a driver seat, it is shown in the following how ergonomic checklists, stereo projection, and spatial interaction can be used to achieve improvements
