In the fib Model Code 2010 (MC2010), new provisions are given for calculating the ultimate limite state of fibre reinforced concrete elements. To assess the given design equations for the shear capacity of prestressed SFRC beams, the experimentally observed shear behaviour of long-span prestressed beams is compared with respect to the two analytical models provided in MC2010. Eventually, the feasibility of the models to predict the experimentally observed shear capacity is evaluated. In the fib Model Code 2010 (MC2010), new provisions are given for calculating the ultimate limite state of fibre reinforced concrete elements.
