Implementing an efficient solid waste management system (SWMS) is a challenging task. With the increase in global population and consumption patterns, solid waste management systems have become of global concern. The current work considers a real-world waste collection, recycling, treatment and disposal system. It looks into the different optimization problems associated with solid waste management to come up with an integrated management system. It aims at developing a system which helps cities manage their wastes efficiently and in a sustainable manner.
