In this paper a hubbed full spectrum CWDM ring network, designed for access domain, with passive wavelength selection in optical distribution network nodes and complete protection on the optical layer is proposed. Feasibility of such concept, using state-of-the-art components is shown. Additionally, the use of different protocols is discussed. Here, simple solutions, using existing standards and equipment with only minor changes, are in focus
