Knowledge and Representations of Immigrant Populations amongst Final Year Pupils in France and Italy. Brigitte Baccaïni et Roberta Rossi. Using data from a survey conducted in several European countries amongst pupils in their final year of secondary-level education, this paper compares attitudes towards and knowledge about immigration amongst pupils in France and in Italy. Considerable differences show between the two groups as regards knowledge of the scale and characteristics of immigration in their country, Italian pupils being apparently less well informed about the phenomenon.
