The inequality in the distribution of household primary insomes in France from 1962 to 1979 The article presents the evolution in the inequality of household primary incomes in France. The data corne from the french fiscal income survey for years 1962, 1965, 1970, 1975 and 1979. Different techniques are used in order to caracterize the inequality and its evolution : Lorenz ordering, computation of different inequality measures, decomposition by income-type, desaggregation by socio-professionnal categories of households, Shorrocks' decomposition of the passage from one distribution to the other.
