Stakeholder involvement - particularly in distributed environments - needs a platform for the effective, efficient, and collaborative creation of requirements. As the well-known example Wikipedia shows, Wikis provide a platform for the collaborative creation of content. This article describes how Wikis can be used to quickly create requirements in a collaborative manner. In addition, we describe some of the benefits and shortcomings of this approach experienced in several projects and present further approaches that tackle these problems. The approach presented helps project managers to use Wikis for tight integration of stakeholders into the requirements engineering phase during the entire software lifecycle
