This article reports on the development of a permanent release coating as substitute for a conventional release agent system. An essential goal of the development was to avoid the transfer of release agent onto the removed component, because it causes many problems for further processing. The coating method used is the low-pressure plasmapolymerization. Polymerization is performed by using process conditions which preserve the structure of the precursor molecule. The so deposited release coating is analyzed by XPS more precisely. Furtheron a structure model is derived from the analytical data
