Digital media are changing the entertainment world. We see the departure of both analog broadcasting and already the first generation of digital entertainment media (the CD) and the advent of new systems. For the new world of digital media, we need to be able to search for media, to organize them. The presentation includes general ideas on future entertainment media, introduces rich media management including our work on music recognition (MPEG-7 compatible) and touch on immersive media including our IOSONO Wave Field Synthesis work.
