The economie conditions for OECD countries have substantially changed since the 60's. Four main transformations are isolated : price increases of energy, low growth scenarios, competition from the NIC's which however are also new markets, the technological revolution in electronics. The evolution of industrial structures, in various countries, does ref lect their adaptations to those new conditions.
