The presently known methods for the assessment of technical risks during a development project such as the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) only partly meet the requirements of an efficient risk analysis. Especially the dependencies between the events are not modeled adequately, which can result in misevaluations concerning risk assessment.
