This diploma thesis presents an algorithm to simulate global illumination. It explains how to calculate diffuse light reflection in a 3D-scene in real-time and how to fully integrate the algorithm into existing 3D-real-time rendering engines. The simulation of the dispersion of light in the scene is based on a radiosity-approach. Furthermore, several possibilities to calculate occlusion will be covered. How to integrate such algorithms from real-time rendering engines into this radiosity-based approad will be explained in detail. An indepth description of how to parameterise the simulation based on the human visual perception will be given in order to abandon physically correct simulation and therefore increase calculation speed without vis...
