The automatic generation of graphical user interface is a current research topic in the HCI. Addressing this topic the thesis interprets the mapping between abstract and concrete user interfaces (mapping problem) as an combinatorial optimization problem. In addition the necessary theoretical bases are acquired and an approach is developed, which enables an automatic generation of GUIs through cost functions. The GUIs are adapted to user and context of use in the best way which is possible. This approach is prototypically implemented by the example of the SmartBLU system developed in the Fraunhofer IGD Rostock
