Preliminary excavations at the Late Natufian site of Salibiya I (Lower Jordan Valley) have revealed two major Natufian stratigraphie horizons and nearly one meter of cultural deposit. The associated lithic assemblage is typologically Late Natufian. No remains of permanent stone architecture were recovered, but faunal remains and charcoal were exceptionally well preserved.Les premières fouilles sur le gisement de Salibiya I (Basse Vallée du Jourdain) ont révélé près d'un mètre de dépôts anthropiques et deux couches natoufiennes. L'industrie lithique associée permet de placer ce site sur l'horizon récent du Natoufien.
