At Tell Mureybet, pottery was found in a context of the beginning of the 8-th millenium B.C. At Tell Assouad (probably ca. 6 500 B.C.) levels with much pottery were recovered below ten meters of acerantic occupations looking like those of Bouqras and Abu Hureira. This shows the danger of every generalization concerning the date of apparition of pottery which may be submitted to the same variations that the other elements of the "néolithisation ".De la poterie remontant au début du 8e millénaire a été découverte à Mureybet.
