It has been always important in automation to determine positions accurately, rapidly, and robustly. With its requirements for accuracy this is also the case in automobile engineering. Here analog position registration systems for hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders are needed. A new Hall-based sensor technology uses the principle of measurement of gradients.
