Artificial, "embodied" intelligence refers to the capability of an embodied "agent" to select an appropriate action based on the current, perceived situation. In this context, the term "appropriate action" denotes an action that is selected "intelligently" - i. e., the events caused by the action must somehow further the actual goals of the agent.
