Process models can be found in diverse application areas, especially in the field of development of software systems. ELearning systems are a special kind of software: usually a set of e-Learning experts with predefined roles participate on the development process, the target group of the system is (or should be) well known in advance of the system design, and last but not least, the teaching and training content has to be suited to the target group, the field of application and the underlying didactical approaches.
