The delivery of streaming media as Linear Television and Video on Demand contents over converging all-IP infrastructures has been a main purpose in adapting the 3GPP standards for Next Generation Network through ETSI TISPAN and are reected in the so called Release 2 of this specication. To meet the demands of high quality video streaming an architectural framework, standarlized signaling for IPTV and protocol specications making use of the 3GPP's idea of a IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) have been developed in this context.
