Modell für die Fabrik Life Cycle-orientierte Produktplanung und -entwicklung

Within the environment of increasingly turbulent and competitive markets, decreasing product life cycles and increasing demands on customer specific products are defining new requirements on the production systems of the future. In order to ensure a cost-effective use of existing production systems the continuous adaptation of product programs as well as installed production resources become the main success factors for the future. To activate synergy potentials between demanded products and today's existing production systems, it is necessary to integrate information that was collected during the operation of production systems as input and guideline into the planning and design process of new products from an early stage on. Until today pragmatic methodologies and tools, that allow the evaluation of the impact of product design on the factory life cycle as well as the identification of sustainable product and process-related measures to optimize the efficiency of production systems from an early stage on, do not exist. Within the framework of this thesis a model is developed, with which the effects of major market- and product-induced change drivers on the life cycle of existing assembly systems can be prognosticated and measures to obtain best possible synergies between product structures and the structures of existing assembly systems can be derived. The developed model is structured into the six sub-models market, product, assembly system, scenario, optimization and measures. The simulation-based prognosis of system relevant interactions is used in the model as basis for the identification of best possible synergies within the holistic system market-product-assembly system. Based on the customer-oriented mapping of alternative product concepts and the factory life cycle-oriented prognosis of the real-time operation of assembly systems, the model allows the evaluation of optional scenarios of the holistic system market-product-production system regarding customer benefits and market shares as well as adaptation costs, operating costs and unit costs in an early stage of the product development process
