The method involves introducing reinforcement fibers (5) e.g. synthetic fibers, in a molding cavity of molding tools (2, 3), and filling the molding cavity with a thermal activatable resin system under complete wetting of the reinforcement fibers. The resin system is pre-hardened in one of the molding tools to form a dimensionally stable preform part (6a). The preform part is transferred to the other molding tool and completely hardened in the latter tool to form a finished fiber reinforced polymer mold part (6b), where the former tool is made of electromagnetic radiation permeable material
