Germany in Crisis, by Norbert Walter The German System shows signs of breaking-down, hecause of persistent German economie difficulties, illustrated by economie torpor and a notable growth in unemployment. In a changing world the German economy is becoming less competitive. this is due to labour costs being too high, well-known lack of innovation and outdated economic structures. In fact, this crisis is due to the deviations from the social market economy which has been transformed into a state corporatist system. However, it would be sufficient to return to the founding principles of this system by reforming and deregulating the state sector.
