Muslim socialism, fundamentalism or secularism have been introducted into central Asia through many different channels, i.e. through Soviet Muslims in Afghanistan, Afghans in the USSR, foreign Muslims residing in the Soviet Union, finally and especially through foreign radio broadcasts.
