This systematic literature review article seeks to identify and analyze teacher evaluation practices in primary and secondary education and their relationship with the teaching-learning process. The work was carried out through the Prisma methodology. We searched the Google Scholar, Scielo, Scopus and Dialnet databases for up-to-date information. Among the main findings is the marked tendency of evaluation practices towards a traditional approach since teachers privilege qualification and thematic content as verification instruments. The teachers continue to maintain their main role without taking into account the participation of the students in the construction of the evaluation criteria.
