Implementación de estrategias y acciones para el posicionamiento Turístico de un destino: Cartagena de Indias

A significant proportion of the economy of the cities constituted as a tourist destination is generated by tourism, that is, by its visitors or tourists. Hence, the importance of implementing strategies and actions for tourism positioning. Therefore, the objective of this article is to determine what normative and social structural strategy should be implemented to break the null scheme of society. For this, 21 experts in tourism knowledgeable about the city of Cartagena de Indias were surveyed and interviewed. An explanatory-correlational study was carried out with a mixed approach, a survey questionnaire and an unstructured interview guide were applied. The tourism experts surveyed and interviewed consider that corrective actions must be implemented to promote the tourist destination of Cartagena de Indias, for which 52.38% opted for strategies of operational actions linking the State, local government and local tourism sector. It was concluded that there must be a great link between the State, society and tourism offer companies in order to implement programs or actions that are based on strengthening and rebounding tourism action for Cartagena de Indias, because this articulation allows the establishment of public politics.Una proporción importante de la economía de las ciudades constituidas como destino turístico, es generada por el turismo, es decir, por sus visitantes o turistas. De allí, la importancia de implementar estrategias y acciones para el posicionamiento turístico. Por consiguiente, el objetivo de este artículo, es determinar qué estrategia estructural normativa y social se debe de implementar para romper el esquema nulo de la sociedad. Para ello, se encuestaron y entrevistaron a 21 expertos en turismos conocedores de la ciudad de Cartagena de Indias. Se realizó un estudio explicativo-correlacional con un enfoque mixto, se aplicó un cuestionario de encuesta y una guía de entrevista no estructurada. Los expertos en turismo encuestados y entrevistados consideran que se debe implementar acciones correctivas para impulsar el destino turístico de Cartagena de Indias, por lo cual, el 52,38% optó por estrategias de acciones operativas de vinculación Estado, gobierno local y sector turístico local. Se concluyó que debe existir gran vinculación entre Estado, sociedad y empresas de ofertamiento turístico con la finalidad de que implementen programas o acciones que vayan en función de fortalecer y repuntar la acción turística para Cartagena de Indias, debido a que esta articulación permite que se establezcan políticas públicas
