This review article aims to evaluate gamification techniques and applications in education to improve student motivation and engagement. To achieve this goal, a systematic review of the literature was conducted in different databases, including Scopus, Scielo, and Latindex. Review articles and original research articles from relevant authors in the last five years were selected. The results indicate that gamification can improve student learning, motivation, and engagement at different educational levels and cultural contexts. Additionally, it was found that gamification can be effective in different areas of knowledge, although further research is needed to determine its effectiveness with different student populations.Este artículo de rev...
