Stress maternel en cas de tumeurs cérébrales pédiatriques : inquiétudes liées au devenir scolaire

International audienceSerious illness in children, such as cancer, generates intense stress in parents, which can lead to anxiety and depressive disorders. This chapter proposes to question the problem of maternal stress in the specific case of paediatric brain tumours on the basis of French research carried out in 2019, thanks to a French validation of the "Pediatric Inventory for Parents" (PIP). The results, which highlighted maternal concerns about the child's future schooling, the child's schooling experience and, more generally, re-schooling in the event of a brain tumour, are investigated through a synthesis of articles on the interventions and stakeholders involved in school reintegration. The synthesis highlights the importance of factors that are essential for the re-enrolment of these children with cerebral palsy, such as the involvement of teachers and the collaboration between parents and teachers.La maladie grave de l’enfant, comme le cancer, génère un stress intense chez les parents, pouvant entraîner des troubles anxieux et dépressifs. Ce chapitre propose de questionner la problématique du stress maternel dans le cas spécifique des tumeurs cérébrales pédiatriques (TCP) à partir d’une recherche française réalisée en 2019, grâce à une validation française du « Pediatric Inventory for Parents » (PIP). Les résultats ayant notamment mis en évidence les inquiétudes maternelles pour le devenir scolaire de l’enfant, l’expérience scolaire de celui-ci, et plus généralement la re-scolarisation en cas de TCP seront investiguées au travers d’une synthèse d’articles sur les dispositifs et les parties prenantes de la réinsertion scolaire. La synthèse met en exergue l’importance de facteurs essentiels à la re-scolarisation de ces enfants cérébrolésés, comme l’implication des enseignants face au handicap visible et la collaboration entre les parents et les enseignants
