Fuchs Uveitis Syndrome : Tinjauan Komprehensif Terkini

Latar Belakang: Fuchs uveitis syndrome (FUS) adalah kondisi mata kronis, dapat unilateral, ditandai dengan sindrom peradangan ringan menyebabkan katarak dan glaukoma sekunder.Prevalensi FUS lebih tinggi di negara maju dan lebih rendah di negara berkembang. Hal ini diakibatkan oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya akibat kelainan FUS yang kurang dapat dikenali dengan baik kecuali oleh spesialis uveitis. Pada kondisi ini literatur terbaru yang mengulas FUS dari berbagai sumber literatur masih sulit dijumpai.Tujuan: Penulis ingin menyatukan berbagai literatur terkait FUS serta memberikan referensi terbaru terkait FUS. Metode:Sampel diambil menggunakan database Google Scholar, PubMed, Cochrane Library dengan kata kunci “fuchs uveitis syndrome” dalam kurung waktu 5 (lima) tahun. Studi diambil jika memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi.Hasil:Fuchs uveitis syndrome atau Fuchs heterochromic iridocyclitis merupakan penyebab tersering terjadinya uveitis anterior. Etiologi tersering oleh virus rubela dan sitomegalovirus. Tanda khas dijumpai peradangan ruang anterior, keratik presipitat berbentuk bintang. Kesimpulan: Pemilihan terapi pada kelainan FUS penting untuk diketahui bagi tenaga kesehatan terutama dalam penatalaksanaan dan pencegahan terjadinya komplikasi lanjut.Background: Fuchs uveitis syndrome (FUS) is a chronic eye condition, can be unilateral, characterized by a mild inflammatory syndrome causing secondary cataracts and glaucoma. The prevalence of FUS is higher in developed countries and lower in developing countries. This is caused by several factors, one of which is due to FUS abnormalities which are not well recognized except by uveitis specialists. In this condition, the latest literature reviewing FUS from various sources of literature is still difficult to find. Purpose: The author wants to bring together various literature related to FUS and provide the latest references. Methods:Samples were taken using the Google Scholar database, PubMed, Cochrane Library with the keyword "fuchs uveitis syndrome" within 5 (five) years. Studies were taken if they met the inclusion and exclusion criteria.Results: FUS or Fuchs heterochromic iridocyclitis is the most common cause of anterior uveitis. The most common etiology is the rubella and cytomegalovirus. Typical signs are inflammation of the anterior chamber, star-shaped precipitate crusts. Conclusion: The choice of therapy for FUS disorders is important to know for health workers, especially in the management and prevention of late complications
