Summary : limits in information analysis and selecting processes in reading. The goal of this research is to study the information selecting process and to describe the units used when subjects read a scientific text in order to write a summary. After a first reading the subjects had to underline the words, expressions, word groups or sentences which were necessary for writing a summary. After two readings and after writing the summary, subjects answered comprehension questions which allowes them to be classified according to their comprehension level.
