Safety-critical embedded systems are increasingly complex. To address the problems imposed by the development of these systems the CESAR project has been launched. One of the main goals of this project is the establishment of a Reference Technology Platform (RTP) for embedded system development. This RTP is a set of modules that can be combined in order to form integrated tool chains (RTP instances). Once installed, a RTP instance can be used to seamlessly and collaboratively develop an embedded system following a particular development process.
