Today's technologies offer automatic identification and information storage for objects. In the future, objects in the production area will be equipped with embedded intelligence. Thus these objects will be able to coordinate and control their production sequence. Instead of the existing central planning and control such a product-controlled manufacturing uses a multi-agent system with the possibilities of auctions by negotiations as a means for self-organization.
