Research has found that the mental and social effects of Covid-19 have been great, espe ially to those already struggle with mental health. The National Survey on Drug Use and Health conducts a survey anually looking at substance use and mental health in America. In our study, we will be comparing the results from the years 2019 and 2021 to see how Covid-19 affected substance abuse and people seeking mental health treatment. We believe because of isolation and decreased access to resources during the beginning of the outbreak, substance use increased and mental health declined.
