PERAN ORANG TUA DALAM MENUMBUHKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR PADA ANAK SEKOLAH DASAR

This article discusses the role of parents in fostering learning motivation in elementary school children. The child in question is a child at elementary school age. Namely those aged 6.0 years to 12 years. Parents have a very important role in the education of their children, including as a motivator. In this case, parents must always encourage their children to have enthusiasm in learning, especially in studying at home as a support for successful achievement in school. The efforts that parents can make in increasing children's learning motivation include: 1) knowing the results, 2) giving prizes and punishments, 3) providing the tools or facilities needed. Parents as educators must always pay attention to the child's personal development as a determinant in the treatment of education in accordance with the period or age level and the child's thinking ability
