In this article we present a measurement setup that allows for the characterisation and development of methods for the camera based aquisition of cardiorespiratory biosignals. In order to investigate the possibilities of these methods, the measurement setup was developed in a way that enables the synchronous recording of conventional biosignals and data of different cameras. Additionally, the result of two studies regarding the remote measurement of mean respiratory rate and mean heart rate are presented
