Kajian Peraturan Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) Terkait Penjaminan Mutu Produk Kosmetika dan Tugas Pokok Fungsi Apoteker

ABSTRACT Problems regarding the distribution of cosmetics with hazardous ingredients and the lack of consumer knowledge in the selection of good and safe cosmetics have led to the need for regulations with an effective control system that is able to detect and screen cosmetic products in order to protect the safety, security, and health of consumers. This is closely related to the role of BPOM, especially Deputy II for the Supervision of Traditional Medicines, Health Supplements, and Cosmetics. This study aims to review various BPOM regulations related to the quality assurance of cosmetic products and the role of pharmacists. The method used is a descriptive library research method by reviewing BPOM regulations related to the role of the pharmacist profession in ensuring the quality of cosmetic products. The research stages include search, selection, documentation, analysis of references and conclusion. Based on the results of the study from all applicable regulations, pharmacists are responsible for conducting tests on all cosmetic products from cosmetic notification, analyzing the ingredients used, testing for contaminants, and advertising supervision to cosmetics withdrawal procedures to ensure information and safety in cosmetics. Cosmetic products must have the appropriate ingredients and information before notification of cosmetic products so that the safety, benefits, and quality of the cosmetics can be guaranteed. The role of pharmacists is to be responsible for ensuring all information and safety of cosmetic products Keywords: Pharmacists, BPOM, Cosmetics, Quality Assurance, Regulation ABSTRAK Permasalahan peredaran kosmetika dengan bahan berbahaya serta kurangnya pengetahuan konsumen dalam memilih kosmetika yang baik dan aman menyebabkan perlunya peraturan dengan sistem pengawasan yang efektif yang mampu mendeteksi dan menapis produk kosmetika guna melindungi keselamatan, keamanan, dan kesehatan konsumen. Hal ini berkaitan erat dengan peran BPOM khususnya Deputi II Bidang Pengawasan Obat Tradisional, Suplemen Kesehatan, dan Kosmetik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji berbagai peraturan BPOM yang berkaitan dengan penjaminan mutu produk kosmetika dan tugas pokok fungsi apoteker terkait. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif penelitian kepustakaan dengan menelaah peraturan BPOM yang terkait peran profesi apoteker dalam menjamin mutu produk kosmetika. Tahapan penelitian meliputi penelusuran, seleksi, dokumentasi, analisis referensi dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil kajian referensi dari semua peraturan yang berlaku, apoteker bertanggungjawab dalam melakukan uji terhadap semua produk kosmetika dari notifikasi kosmetika, menganalisis bahan yang digunakan, pengujian cemaran, pengawasan iklan sampai tata cara penarikan kosmetika untuk menjamin informasi serta keamanan pada kosmetika. Produk kosmetik harus memiliki bahan dan informasi yang sesuai sebelum dilakukan notifikasi produk kosmetik sehingga dapat terjamin keamanan, kemanfaatan, dan mutu dari kosmetik tersebut. Tugas pokok dan fungsi apoteker yakni bertangungjawab dalam menjamin semua informasi serta keamanan produk kosmetika. Kata Kunci: Apoteker, BPOM, Kosmetik, Penjaminan Mutu, Peratura
