Despite the positive impact of nanomaterials on agriculture and crop productivity, this effect is not always positive. A pot experiment was undertaken to spot the effect of nanosized ZnO on the physiological and biochemical attributes of Jew’s mallow (Corchorus olitorius L.) by foliar spray applied at three concentrations (25, 50, and 100 mg L-1) in addition to the control. All concentrations, especially 100 mg L-1 of ZnO significantly increased (p?0.05) plant growth parameters, compared to the control. Protein, carbohydrates and fibers were increased after the application of ZnO NPs by 47, 77 and 94% respectively while fat was not changed.
